Hi, I’m Boka, the baker behind Boka Bakes.
My love for food began in my grandmother’s kitchen, with flour on my hands and curiosity in my eyes. Side by side with my mother and grandmother, I learned that baking is not just about recipes, but about care, patience, and love.
That same passion led me to study dietetics and nutrition, shaping the way I approach food today – with a deep respect for quality ingredients and how they nourish us.
Today, sharing the flavors of my homeland feels like scattering pieces of my soul into the dough – still that little girl at heart, now certain that homemade food nurtures both the body and the heart

I've been following Boka's work since the early beginnings at various markets in Amsterdam Noord. She pours her soul into every product she makes, and strives for the highest standards in freshness, taste, and quality of ingredients. She takes the traditional recipes and takes them to the next level with her care and love for her craft. Whether it's Kiflice, Bajadera, or Rum Cake — her versions taste better than the ones I grew up with.
